End of Summer

The work continues on Sadie's bedroom... Thankfully, we have a house full of eager helpers. It's been fun to all work together on a big project like this.

We've had some lovely times at Galveston. We finally found the perfect spot and perfect time to go to the beach and not get horribly burned. Leave the house at 3:00, get there at 5:00. Go to Beach Access point #9/Pocket Park 2, next to the "Tipsy Turtle" where they have free parking, restrooms, and showers. It's perfect!

These little helpers are so good! What would I do without them in my kitchen?

We celebrated Adelaide's birthday a little early so we could combine it with the Fourth of July. And we had some amazing firework displays right in our front yard. It seems like all of our neighbors poured lots of money and energy into their displays this year since all the big events were cancelled. We loved have a front row seat.

We also celebrated Popie's birthday in August.

Most of the summer has been pretty relaxed. We haven't gone anywhere in particular and haven't done much of anything. It's just been a lovely, relaxing summer. At least, that's my opinion. The kids would say it's been BORING stuck at home, but I can tell they've still had plenty of fun.

And reading together is still the best part of every day....
